  • Design, implement and maintain SSIS Packages to handle all ETL needs
  • Design, implement and maintain load, stage, dimension, fact table (OLAP) structures to support the daily running of the data warehouse
  • Maintain the meta data and create relevant documentation
  • Develop approved data models and create data objects for the business users via SSRS, Dashboard tools and/or Excel
  • Monitor job execution times and apply enhancements to improve efficiency to SQL Agent Jobs and using Powershell and ADF (training will be provided on ADF and cloud-based solutions).
  • Develop and maintain TSQL queries to support inserts and updates to the data models


  • Maintain and support SSIS Packages…Azure related solutions (Training will be provided), but must have existing SSIS packages and jobs scheduling experience at least 3-5 years)
  • Maintain and support Data Warehouse Architecture
  • Maintain the meta data and documentation process to support the data warehouse
  • Monitor ETL jobs and troubleshoot any issues relating to the ETL jobs

KEY RESPONSIBILITY: Azure Enterprise Data Warehouse Support (Training will be provided on Azure SQL Dedicated Pool)


  • Provide first level technical support on all applications used by the business
  • Granting and denying access to SQL Dedicated Pool
  • Granting and denying access to SQL Dedicated Pool
  • Field incoming help requests from end users (and technicians)
  • Prioritize and schedule problems, escalate problems (when required) to the appropriately experienced technician and/or team leaders as needed
  • Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the business to be able to give technical support when needed
  • Monitor all the ETL jobs to make sure they are running as scheduled
  • Develop technical documentation
  • Any other duties as reasonably required


  • All helpdesk tickets are responded to within agreed service level timeframes
  • Successfully provide timely feedback to users on their open helpdesks
  • Successfully provide support and assistance to the users at their level.
  • Successfully troubleshoot problems and provide level 1 support
  • Prioritize helpdesks and project work and communicate with users to inform them of priority changes.

Essential: Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Software Development/Engineering, or Computer Science and/or other relevant disciplines Essential (BA/BS degree required):

  • Microsoft Office Suite: Intermediate
  • Experience extracting data from SQL Databases, comma delimited files and other databases · Intermediate Microsoft Excel and pivot controls experience
  • Experience with relational database concepts and structures
  • Experience with writing and understanding TSQL language Required (Expert Level)
  • Proficient in ETL development and maintenance with SSIS · Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server administration and query plans, etc.
  • Knowledge of best practices/methodologies in Data Warehousing


  • Some Experience/Understanding with C# and or VB, web services and XML development
  • Some Experience/Understanding designing, creating and maintaining SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, Excel pivots and dashboards.
  • Understanding the levels of the development life cycle (Required)
  • Data Analysis experience
  • Ability to facilitate meetings with users to identify data visualization design prototypes
  • Some familiarity with Power BI or SSRS (desired but not required)
  • Excellent customer service skills
